Hi we’re Innovate UK!
Innovate UK is a part of UK Research and Innovation, is the UK’s innovation agency. Their mission is to help companies to grow through their development and commercialisation of new products, processes and services. Innovate UK has funded and supported multiple programmes and projects focused on PFAS remediation, monitoring and substitution. Examples include grants for developing PFAS?free fire?fighting foams, next?gen adsorbent materials for PFAS removal from water, and sensor technologies for detecting ultra?short?chain PFAS in the environment. The agency also collaborates with regulatory bodies and industry to accelerate commercialization of PFAS alternatives and ensure UK industries are ready for upcoming PFAS restrictions.

Hi we’re University of Maine!
University of Maine (UMaine) is a public land?grant research university located in Orono, Maine, known for its strong programs in environmental science, agriculture and engineering. UMaine is actively engaged in research through initiatives such as its “PFAS+ Initiative,” which coordinates engineering, ecological, social?science and agricultural work to address PFAS contamination. The university has received significant funding (e.g., a $2.25?million grant from the Maine Department of Agriculture to support field?based PFAS research on farms) to help understand PFAS in soil, crops, animals and food systems. UMaine researchers have developed novel models predicting PFAS absorption by microplastics and are studying PFAS uptake in agricultural soils and livestock to help impacted farmers in Maine

Hi we’re New Mexico Environment Department!
New Mexico Environment Department (NMED) is the state agency responsible for protecting New Mexico’s environment and public health through regulation, monitoring, and enforcement of water, air, and land contamination programs. NMED collaborates with the United States Geological Survey (USGS) to sample drinking water systems, surface water, and private wells to test for PFAS contamination. Through the implementation of the PFAS Protection Act, it is gradually phasing out intentionally added PFAS in consumer products.
